Thomas W. Nygaard, M.D.

Dr. Nygaard attended undergraduate school and Medical School at Vanderbilt University. He completed his Internship and Residency at Johns Hopkins Hospital. His Cardiology Fellowship was carried out at the University of Virginia Hospital. Dr. Nygaard served on the faculty of the University of Virginia Hospital before coming to Lynchburg. He serves as the Medical Director of Cardiology at Stroobants Heart Center at the Lynchburg General Hospital. Dr. Nygaard has special interest and training in invasive cardiology, interventional cardiology; and cardiac pacing. He is board certified in Cardiovascular Disease and Interventional Cardiology.
